innismaþer (OSw) innestman (ODan) noun

Presumably a free man without land living in somebody else’s house or on their property. Appears concerning his obligations in communal society regarding hunting, and his responsibilities towards the landlord regarding fire and stolen goods found behind locks, to which he, presumably, had the key.
