These two Companies with the Stringers and Arrow-headmakers, their Petition, for the Restoration of Archery. Queen ELIZABETH'S Commission for the Laws about Shooting in the Bow. Bowstaves. BLACKSMITHS. JOYNERS. PLAISTERERS. WEAVERS. Their Complaint against the Silk-Weavers. The City take their Parts. FRUITERERS. SCRIVENERS. BOTTLEMAKERS and HORNERS. Their Complaint upon a Licence granted to transport Horns. Their Charter.

THE Company of INHOLDERS, having been a Community or Society of honest friendly Men, by their often meeting and conversing together, as in those Days it was a matter much observed; became to be incorporated in the 6th Year of King Henry VIII. and so renewed from time to time.

[The Arms altered the Visitation of London; and the Crest and Supporters granted by Sir Richard St. George, Clarencieux King of Arms. The Motto under the Arms, HINC SPES AFFULGET. The old Motto was, When I was Harbourless, ye lodged me.]

The Supporters, two Horses regardant. The Crest, a Cloud: over which a bright Estoille.

THE Company of FOUNDERS, no doubt of Antiquity and long Continuance in Brotherhood and Fellowship together, were incorporated the 18th Day of September, in the 12th Year of the Reign of King James I.


EMBROIDERERS.

THE Company of the EMBROIDERERS can make appear by their worthy and famous Pieces of Art, that they have been of ancient Use and Eminence, as is to be seen in divers places at this Day: But for the matter of their Incorporating, it hath relation to the 4th Year of Queen Elizabeth, &c.


POULTERS.

THE Company of POULTERS were incorporated in the 19th Year of Henry VII. the 23th Day of January. And renewed again in the 30th Year of the Reign of Queen Elizabeth, February the 22th.
