One scribe writing in brown and black ink in an Anglicana script. Characteristics: reversed circular e; 8-shaped g; long s in initial position; v-shaped r in final position; long r in medial position; B-shaped w; double compartment a. Body height 2 mm.

Initials tinted red; two-line Lombardic red initials; red paraphs.

Not medieval - seventeenth century. Size: 210 x 150 mm. Cover of brown tan leather mitred and pasted over pasteboard with blind tooled double lines around edge and foliate border on left side and foliate design on spine with 'CHRONICLE OF BRITAIN TO THE 14 YEAR OF KG EDWARD THE 3D. Five raised bands on the spine.
