Layout:No pricking visible. Writing space of 140/150 x 65 mm. Single columns with 25 lines. Not ruled.
Writing: One scribe, John Holyns, writing in a Secretary script. Characteristics: 2-shaped r; e-shaped ampersand; single compartment g; a with pointed head; angular flourishing on some top line ascenders. Note by scribe: f. 1 - 'assit principio sancta Maria meo Q. J. Holyns' written in same hand as the text.
Decoration: Some elongated and flourished ascenders on top line. Titles indented and underlined. First page only, two-line red initial and first letter of each line tinted red. Drawings: face drawn within letter A f. 4v top line first letter; head from ascender top margin f. 24v. Nota bene: hand ff. 60r, 97v.
Binding: Not medieval. 219 x 145 mm. Sewn on four thongs possibly in their original positions.
