Deare freind
I haue receiued none from you in three or foure weekes; yet I neuer omitted any opportunitie of writing; when I was in a place whence I could send unto you. I would bee gladde to heare of the receipt of those which I sent from Berne. & because I am not like to make any great stay here, I desire you not to enclose any of the letters which shall bee addressed unto me within any to Mr. Pell; but let them bee under a Couvert by themselues; addressed to Francis Balde the <left margin: Elder> merchant at Francfort, to whom I will giue directions how hee shall dispose of them. I haue written a large Answer to Mr. Schlezer concerning his owne condition & my affaires of which hee wrote to me in Ianuary last.
I haue here adioyned a paper which a Minister of the Territorie of Zurich hath put into my hand; for hauing these booke mentioned therin sent ouer & deliuered to Mr. Bodmer the bookseller of Zurich. hee is upon a designe of shewing the Harmonie of tongues & would haue our English Britannic & Irish bookes to compleat his designe.
by Mrs. Pells letters to her husband I understand of your Daughter Clodius hard labour in bringing forth her first borne, I pray God giue her & you all ioy of him, Remember me to him & her; & to all freinds. who am
your most affectionat to serue you

I haue not heard any thing of Mr. Hue Peters since I came out of England; what is hee doing I pray.
my Lord Bradshaw seemes to comply with the present Gouvernment; if you can tell me where hee keepes ordinarily, & how it doth fare with him, in respect of public affections. perhaps I will write to him when I beginne to make my application to particular freinds; which hitherto I haue not been able to doe, because I haue not made an ende of the Heluetian Negotiation
Mr. Pell sends you the printed paper.
