There is a Man of special qvality that writes vnto vs from the Hague concerning a new Telescopium or wonderful Perspective lately found out at Collen by one [Rhejda? altered] a Cappucin Friar which is like to discover vnto vs many Heavenly Lights heretofore obscured from our Ey's. The wordes of the Letter are these - I doe account it a part of my duty (because a reasonable Creature) to ioy in any discovery of Gods wondrous Workes, whose hand directs as well the Actions of Men as the Wayes and Motions of Nature. Having therfore lately received the inclosed (concerning 5. New Starres (j meane newly discovered) moving about Iupiter more then those 4 Sidera Medicæa found by Galilæus) imparted vnto mee by a Friend j know not where to bestow it better then vpon you Thus farre hee
