stefnusök (ON) noun

A summoning case in which a summons was to be issued locally and neighbours were to be called at an assembly to serve on a panel. Summoning cases covered a variety of offenses, including refusal to vacate reserved seats for the Law Council (Grg Lrþ 117) and concealing a dead man’s property from underage heirs (Grg Fjl 223).
