Son to J. Shaa of Rochford in Essex. Made Knight in the Field by Henry VII. He caused his Brethren the Aldermen to ride from the Guildhall to the Water side, where he took his Barge to Westminster, when he was sworn by the King's Council. He commonly in the Afternoons kept a Court alone, called before him many Matters, and redressed them.

The Lord Maior's first riding from the Guildhall to take Barge for Westminster.
