I Am often in contemplation of a me.
Morable example, Recorded in the
second Book of sam. Chap. 4; and
that is of Ishbosheth the son of King
Saul, who laying Claim to the Kingdome
after his Father, by prerogative
of succession, made warr against
David, who was placed in the Government
according to Gods appointment: But to shew
that hereditary succession is no Plea to justifie a warr against
the Powers ordained by him, he placed marks of displeasure
against all that took part with Ishbosheth; so that he
being heir of the Curses of his familie, his fortune declining,
and all his designes proving successess, and himself a
burden to his Party, he in the end had his head strook off
by some of his own Commanders, and brought to David.
