ON the 24 the Chereton arived in the Downs
with a Vessel which she had surprised in
the Narrow upon suspicion of Prize, for
that the Master of the said Vessel, is assuredly
known to be of Dunkirk, and verily
beleeved to be bound thither, because he
pretended to be bound to a Port in France
which he had over-shot by many leagues, and confesseth that
the day before he was taken, there was an Oftend man of war
of 3 Guns aboard him, whose escape from the said man of war
