THe House resumed the debate upon the
Act for Redemption of Captives, and
the said Act was committed to the
Committee of the Navy.
Mr, Vtting who was Major of Norwich,
when the great ryot and insurrection
was in that City, and Mr. John
Tooley of the same City, having been
sent for as Delinquents, upon the report
of the Committee, and the Vote of the House thereupon,
and being brought up in the Custody of the Serjeant
at Armes, were this day brought to the Barre, and there
kneeling, received this judgement, Viz.
That the fine of one thousand pounds be imposed on the
said John Tooley, and that he be imprisoned in the Fleet, for
three moneths, and that he be disabled from henceforth,
from bearing any Office in the Commonwealth.
That the Fine of five hundred pounds be imposed on the
