THe House was this day resolved into a Grand Committee,
touching the Grand Excise.
A Letter from the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland,
from Rosse, of the 25 of October 1649. together with
the Transactions and Articles, touching the surrender
of Rosse, were this day read.
For the Honourable William Lenthall Esquire, Speaker of the Parliament
of England.
SIR,
SInce my last from Wexford, we marched to Rosse, a walled Town,
Scituate, upon the Barrow, a Port Town, up to which a Ship of Seven
or eight hundred Tun may come.
