A BRIEFE RELATION
of some affaires and transactions,
Civill and Military, both Forraigne
and Domestique.
Licensed by Gaulter Frost Esquire, Secretary to the Councell
of State, according to the direction of the late Act.
From Tuesday, February the 5. to Thursday
February the 7. 1649.
From severall parts of Germany. Ianuary
20. 21.
IN the point of grievances controverted at Nurnberg,
the parties are, or seem agreed, for the Clause, that
this or that particular restitution undetermined
yet, shall not hinder the disbanding the withdrawing
of Forces, and the businesse about freedome
of Religion in the Upper Palatinat, so as
the Roman Cathalique States of the Empire,
had stated it.
As for the said Clause, the Swedes will not admit of it in such raw
termes; yet promise, if there appeare but a reall endeavour in the States
about the rest, they will so declare themselves in this behalfe also, as they
doubt not but will be satisfactory; and for the Religions-businesse, the
States have undertaken to write to the Elector of Bavaria, to see how he
stands disposed, and what he will yeild to, in favour of his now
Subjects.
Mean while the Swedes Generalissimo moved, they would proceed in the
