To prevent mis-information.
From Tuesday, May 22. to Tuesday, May the 29. 1649.
ONe of the most remarkable passages which this day did preferre
it selfe to observation was the Letter signed by Master
Speaker, and ordered to be sent from the Parliament of
England to the Parliament of Scotland, which now suddenly will
begin to sit, the substance of which Letter is; That although there
are many concerning things for which the Parliament of England may
call them to an account,yet they being so obvious, and so lately acted,
they will not discend to particulars but doe desire that there may be persons
chosen of both Nations,and a place appointed to treat for the setling
afirme League,and the renewing a right understanding between the
two Nations,And that their Messenger may speedily be dispatched with
an Answer from them.
Tuesday May 22.
IT was this day referred to the Committee of the Army to prepare
a competent number of the Acts touching Free-quarter,
which are to be sent down to the severall. Regiments of the Army,
together with a letter signed by Mr.Speaker to be sent to the Lord
Generall,to give order for the publishing the said Acts and Rules
in all places where the Army, or any part thereof now is, or shall
come, to the end that it may be made known both to the Souldiers
and people for the better and more due observation of it. And
