Collation: Collation unascertainable. Some catchwords, some signatures.
Layout:Pricking not visible. Writing space of 180 x 93-100mm. Single columns with 32-38 lines. Ruled lines and frame with margin ruled in drypoint but now discoloured to 'plum'/grey ink (other scratches on the folios have the same discolouration).
Writing: One scribe writing in an Anglicana Formata script. Characteristics: small, neat hand with an open aspect; hooked ascender for k, l, and b; B-shaped w; double compartment a with pointed head; 2-shaped r; double compartment g; ?; Body height: 2mm.
Decoration: In red: paraphs; brackets; red box around 'headings'. Three-line blue initial T on initial page; two-line blue initials; six-line initial I.
Binding: Not medieval. 235 x 160 mm. Covered in grey/green leather mitred and pasted onto pasteboard. Five raised bands across the spine. Each folio is now separately mounted.
Foliation:v + 64 + viii. 5 'modern' paper flyleaves at front, 8 at back.
Additions:Alphabet in right margin, f. 35r. Rubric rubbed out, f. 43v. Inscriptions in a fifteenth-century hand on ff. 47r, 50v. F. 51r 'ffallm...'. F. 54r four lines in right margin. F. 57r - notes in left margin.
