Music by Mozart in Letter 147
A market town in the eighteenth century, Lofer is located in the Saalach River valley, set in the Alps, approximately 42km south of Salzburg. Part of the Pinzgau region of Salzburg province, Lofer was the first post station on the route from to Innsbruck, and from there south to Italy. Mozart and his father passed through there on 13-14 December 1769
