A student of Padre Martini, Beroni was active at Venice from 1745, as organist at the Cappella Ducale di San Marco, from 1752-1758. During the period 1778-1783 he was active in London as an opera composer and in 1785 he succeeded Galuppi as maestro di capella at San Marco, Venice.
