Court violetist and music copyist. Raab first came to Salzburg in 1748,where he matriculated at the Salzburg Benedictine University. He was appointed court viletist in 1756 and in 1766 the Salzburg court music copyist (although he had been active as a copyist in Salzburg considerably earlier).
