Girelli sang the role of Silvia in Ascanio in alba K111. She was first seen on stage as a dancer, at the Teatro San Samuele, Venice, and in 1756 made her singing debut at the Florentine nuovo Teatro di Via della Pergola in Alessandro nell'Indie. During the 1760s, Girelli was active in Prag, Bologna, Venice, Naples, Turin and Parma. According to Charles Burney, Gibelli frequently sang out of tune.
