Ballet dancer and choreographer. He may have been the son of the elder Jean Favier, maître de ballet at Dresden from 1722 to 1763. He was responsible for the ballets given at the Regio Ducal Teatro, Milan, for Tommaso Traetta's Ifigenia in Tauride and Berdinando Bertoni's Scipione nelle Spagne (1767-1768). In 1771 he was responsible for the second ballet given to honour the wedding of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria and Maria Beatrice Ricciarda d'Este, for which occasion Mozart's Ascanio in Alba K111 was also composed.
