We arrived here safe and sound from Verona at 4 o`clock this afternoon and are staying the night with the Piccinis before continuing our journey tomorrow. But tomorrow we`ll be spending the day in Trent because I have some commissions from Milan to sort out there. footnote1 By the time you read this, it looks very much as if we`ll be heading towards Salzb. and that we`ll be arriving there in the evening, if not sooner. As soon as you receive this, open the small room so that it`s not so cold, but reasonably warm, as Wolfg. will be sleeping not in the back room but in the small room. The door should remain open so that it`s well aired. I`ll reply in person to the questions that you put to me in one of your 4 letters, footnote2 all of which I found waiting for me in Verona.
