Stage designer. During the 1740s, Colombo was active at the Stuttgart court of Karl Eugen of Württemberg, where he created scenery for operas by Jommelli and ballets by Noverre; he also worked at Vienna, Leipzig, Frankfurt and Prague. Colmbo returned to Turin in 1769 where he was engaged by the Teatro Regio dalla Società dei Cavalieri. He was responsible for the scenography to Paisiello's Annibale in Torino, which Mozart saw there on 16 January 1771. Lit.: Basso, I Mozart in Italia, 529.
