Sworn and examined deposeth and saith that about Friday last he this deponent was present and in company with Henry Tetlow and amongst other conference had betwixt them he said that he prayed God he owed but 40s unto Mr Amerie nor anything to any in Chester although he had heretofore been accustomed to owe the said Mr Amerie in £40 or £60 at a time, for that he was to receive wares of Mr Hodges’ man of London… after as a good a rate as any Chester man could give them viz he was to have Allom at 30s the hundred and logwood at 36s the hundred if he the said Henry Tetlow should like and be well pleased therewith then they were absolutely sold unto him and more saith not.
