That one day about two years ago this deponent came accidentally into one William Johnson's house being an alehouse in Whitefriars Lane Chester and found the plaintiff Mrs Blackburn and one Mrs Weaver and Alice Alcock drinking together there, at which time the said Mrs Blackburn had black patches or spots on her face, and amongst other things the said Mrs Blackburn begun to talk of her husband the defendant in this cause as if he and this deponent's stepmother had been too familiar or naughty together which this deponent hearing chid her for so saying and told her that the beauty spots of hers and her locks and her habit did not become one of her condition that lived at such a distance with her husband, and this deponent hath heard both the defendant and other persons complain and say that she was a very lewd woman and of uncivil carriage and behaviour especially with other men and that she had much wasted and consumed her husband's estate by her bad and lewd courses and the like.
