That in the month of March in the year of our god 1604 the arlate Dorothy Smith wife of Thomas Smith arlate did this deponent’s house in the parish of Framlingham at the castle that Olive Mannister arlate the party producent did keep a house of bawdry and did keep two whores in her house she then speaking of meaning and naming the party producent of his certain knowledge for this deponent rebuked her for abusing the said Olive who have been sometimes her mistress which words were spoken by the said Dorothy in the hearing of this deponent Ellen Bridges his wife and Agnes Howes.
That… the arlate Dorothy Smith said in the hearing of this deponent William Bridges and his wife her contests that Olive Mannister… did keep a house of bawdry and did keep two whores in her house… and saith that the words afore deposed were by the said Dorothy uttered in the house of the said William Bridges within the parish of Framlingham near [the] Castle aforesaid.
That sevenight before the feast of the annunciation of our Lord last past… the arlate Dorothy Smith said in the hearing of this deponent her husband and Agnes Howes her contests that Olive Mannister… did keep a house of bawdry and did keep two whores in her house… and was by this deponent’s husband rebuked for speaking so evilly of the said Olive who had sometimes been the said Dorothy’s mistress.
