John Owen
That to his now remembrance he never called the arlate Richard Starkey a knave, neither uttered the words arlate nor any words against this court which might tend to the infamy or disgrace thereof... Saying he believeth he hath sometimes within the time arlate been a little overseen in drink... That he did never within the time arlate as he is persuaded in his conscience utter any such prophane or wicked oaths as are arlate.
