About last Christmas in the afternoon... he and his wife Ruth Todd being in John Ager's shop in Wymondham heard Ager say that Goodwife Parsley of Harleston had been at Norwich and got the French pox and given it her husband, meaning as this deponent then understood Ager, that Jane Parsley had been at Norwich and committed the crime of adultery... at the time of speaking the words predeposed there was no person present but this deponent and his wife Ruth Todd.
That sometime after Christmas last... she and her husband Richard Todd being at John Ager's shop in Wymondham sometime in the afternoon... heard John Ager say that Thomas Parsley and his wife had got the French pox, and that she, meaning the producent as this deponent then understood him, went to Norwich and there got it, signifying that she there committed the crime of adultery... she remembers present at the time of speaking the words predeposed... her husband Richard Todd.
