He went to be a servant to John Jary of Heigham a fortnight or three weeks before the last Michaelmas and there continued till about Our Lady following, in which time John Lamberd and Mary his wife did persuade him to get from his master Jary strong beer and cider with promise that they would give him some money for so doing and accordingly he found an old key which did open his master Jary's cellar door with and so got beer and ale out of his master's Jary's cellar several times and carried it to John Lamberd's and there drank it. And he further saith that he left the foresaid key with Lamberd and that he hath seen John Lamberd come about ten and eleven a clock at night with a pitcher or gotch and drank beer and ale and lock the door again and carry the beer away. And further he saith that he hath seen John Lamberd go and unlock the door of his master's Jary's cellar, and take out bottles of cider several times about ten a clock at night and lock up the door and carried the key home with him. And further he saith that he hath carried several bottles of Barcelona wine to the Lamberds, and that Mary Lamberd hath taken and carried away out of another cellar his master had several bottles of Barcelona wine. And he further saith that when he left his master Jary's house he left the foresaid key with Lamberd and found the key at John Lamberd's when he came again the eight of June last.
