Sworn and examined deposeth and saith in all things as the former deponents have said: and further saith that he seeing people flocking together pursued after them, and that thereupon he this deponent went with four of them in the house of the former examinate, and saw the said fellow had the said Phitton’s purse in his hand by his breech and dropped the said purse down to the ground and thereupon Putly said these words (or the like in effect) I am the man, and called for a pot of ale, and pulled out his own purse to pay for the same, and thereupon the host… seeing the said purse under the table took it up, and delivered the same to the said Phitton.
