Examined where he dwelleth saith at Warrington with his said father and examined what is his exercise saith in carrying his father's packs from market to market… And about 9 of the clock in the afternoon he came into this City and went down to the Castle to see it and being in this City chanced to meet with another boy whose name he knoweth not yet saith they have been acquainted in that he hath seen him at his father's house drinking and then this examinate and the said boy concluded and went together into John Gest's house and there drank either of them 1d… Examined where he got the money he hath saith he laboured hard for it in Lancaster in harvest last past and further examined… confesseth that upon Saturday morning he and the said stranger… and the other boy now gone were together in the house of William Cross shoemaker called commonly Dulsey's cellar and there drank a quart of mead amongst them.
