Right Honourable
       I am informed by several learned and pious Ministers in these parts, whose credit and power is very considerable that they have received very good Advertisements and intelligence from Mr Hartlib, by reason of which they were inabled to vndeceive many, who had been mis-informed here of the intentions of the Parliament and the contrary partys abuses haue by his meanes been fully made knowne to them which j thought fit to certifie, that the good endeavors of the said Mr Hartlib might bee acknowledged by some such recompence as shall seeme conuenient to the Wisdome of the Committee and necessary for his subsistance, who men tell mee is fuller of good affection then mony. Your Honours will pardon this boldnes in him who is
