             Propositions of Edmond Felton gent
  That there be Eighty Engins for the Batalia, every Engine being three yards in breadth and halfe in breadth, and betweene every six Engines two yards Intervailes, where small draks may be placed on Engins, which said Engins with the Intervailes, [letter deleted] will be aboute 320 yards in front, five times 80. Engins wilbe 400. Engins, which said Engins wilbe in front. 1600. yards, and supplies the place of aboue 15000. Pike men, Which said Engins may make 4. or .5. devissions, as there <is> ground./.
     That there be 30. souldiers (or more) all musqueteers) to every Engine, whereof foure men without Armes to Manag the Engine according to Command, for which there must be a seriant, and a Corporall besids, to Command theis souldiers, There wilbe five files of souldiers to every Engine, and the seriant and the Corporall, to keepe vp and leade on theis Musqueteers to discharge vpon the enimie behind the Engine, and to Order them in Marching after the enimie as the Engine Marches./
     That there be a Captaine to every six Engins, and he to haue six seriants, and six Corporalls, and no other officers soe that his Company will consist of 192. souldiers with the seriants and Corporalls.
     That there be five Companies in a Regiment: in which will be thirty Engins to every Regiment, and thereto a Colonell a seriant Maior, and noe other officers
     That there be twenty or forty Engins to place at each wing of the Batalia, at each wing a Regiment: which two Regements are to meete with the enemie if they wheele about to fall vpon the reare.
     If 160. Engins, and but 30. Musqueteers to every Engine, then will there be five Regiments besids superiour officers, and those men that Manageth the 160. Engins wilbe 640. men, And the 5. Regiments 5560 souldiers
     All the other parte of the Army foote and horse to be in the reare for a Reserue, to which the Engins vpon the
