[Dury:]
Deare freind
the last weeke I wrote to you from Amsterdam & left my letter with Mr Rulice that hee should inclose in to you: I therin told you of my discourse with Mr Hammilton & that I aduised him to stay at Amsterdam & apply himself to some Industrie which hee seemed willing to doe & promised to lay downe his expostulatorie humour against you & aquaint you with his future endevours subordinate unto our scope. Mr Rulice no doubt hath giuen you an account of his owne affaires & Mr Moriaen I suppose hath not been wanting to write; I understood from him by the letters which he had from Monsieur Coen, that hee was arriued at Hamburg; & that hee & Faber were together; & did like one anothers way very fully. being gone from Amsterdam I stayed but one day at Vtrecht; where I conferred with Dr. Voetius & some other of the Chief Ministers, about my busines to prepare them in due time to concurre therin. from Vtrecht in 4 dayes & a halfe wee [came?] hither to Collen; from whence to morrow morning early wee purpose to bee gone: I pray mention not what you know of Mr Pells going till to any body; till you heare that hee is arriued at Zurich this place afoords no newes; but that the Elector of Collen hath a Controuersie with the Citie; which yet is no new thing, but I call it newes because I heard not of it before, & I haue not yet learned the particular busines which it doth concerne. from Francfort I purpose to write next God willing. Remember me to your son Clodius & all yours & his wife; & let me heare from you; I rest
