Good Mr Hartlib,
I have received your Advertisements for which I thanke you and your letter: wherein concerning Mr Rulice I doe much commiserate his case, but cannot returne him any satisfactory answer because the Gentlewoman Mistris Cl. told me that she expected the returne of Mr Felton one of my Lady Veres gentlemen out of Holland till when she would not resolve what to doe: thus much I signified to Mr Rulice in a letter which I wrote to him about three weeks since: I suppose Mr Felton is returned by this, and if he she doe not certify herselfe what her purpose is, I will indeavor to know her mind if Mr Rulice desire I should: I have [procured? hole in MS] something for Mr Hake which Mr White would have me send [down? MS edge torn] to him at Dorchester but I remember you told me something [was? MS edge torn] ordered by him to be paid to you, if you let me know how [much? MS edge torn] it is I shall see you paid by what conveiante you [shall MS edge torn] appoint: and with all I have a small token for yourselfe [th..? MS edge torn] I desire to heare from you: I doe much expect and shall [long MS edge torn] to heare of some good successe in Mr Duries busines: my prayers shall not be wanting in it nor for yourselfe so I rest
