although I remember not that we ever Conversed together yett your Name is an Invitation to me sufficient to embolden me to seeke some acquaintaines wherby our spirits in spirituall matters, may be drawn to a neerer Concurrence & communication of thoughts for the public good; wherunto your station in the Assembly of divines, doth engage you, & my relation to it doth call me. Now[H. capitalises] by Reason[altered] of this Relation I am bound to make my [adresses?] in some important occasions, if not directly <H. and immediatly yet in directly and mediatly & Meditatly to the judgment of the Assembly: & because some that know us both, have given me an overture to be free with you; by recommending unto Mee the eminent giffts and Graces of God which [letter deleted]hee hath bestowed upon you for the good of many, and his testyfying your owne good affection to, & undeserved good opinion which you have off me therefore [catchword: I]
