I vnderstand by Mr Reulice that you haue written two letters to me, since you received one from me. Certainly those letters are miscarried, for I never heard any thing of that Dutch Scholler heere. However I must acknowledg your kindeness in my misfortune. I thanke you very kindely for your Mercurius Rusticus and that other peece. They are both very good, but the Mercurius incomparable. I cannot but be sadly sensible, that you haue yet received no benefits by the votes of the House, and the more because in this condition I can contribute nothing to your help. I haue indeavoured by mine this weeke to Dr Cox to engage Mr Sadler to putt on his interest againe to serve. if my power were answerable to my will, I would scorne any should do itt but my self. My wife desires to ve very affectionatly remembred to you. I am
