Deare freind
Beeing at Amsterdam I mette with this to my sister, which I pray yow to deliuer when yow haue shutte it mine to hir: I haue no tyme to inlarge only I must tell yow that yowr last was of the 12 of Aug. wherin yow debate the matter of sending letters by Mr Cropley, but yow need not send yowrs to me under his Couert, make only a Couert to Sir W. Boswell ouer them & leaue the printed newes open to him without my letter to read & what else yow will communicate lette it bee inclosed: I haue receiued beeing at Amsterdam yowr Bookes, I meane the packet wherin was the number of the beast 666, for which as for all the rest I thank yow, & till another occasion bidde yow farewell resting
