Deare freind
this is to entreate yow to giue Mr Cradock by whom I send this; thankes for the beneuolence which hee Caused bee giuen to me in this towne of 20 Rixd. for which I also haue giuen him thankes by a letter which hee that deliuered me the money hath addressed to him.
I wrote to yow since my returne from Brunswic & Luneburg on the 14 & 28 of Febr. on the 8 & 14 of Martch wherin yow haue hadde prettie large informations of all my businesse & intentions; with some letters one addressed to Mr Vernom my Lord Marquesse his Secretarie & others to these viz. to my Lord Primat of Ireland to Sir William Waller, to Dr Dauenant & to Dr Hall. I pupose either now or by the next to send yow one to Dr Morton for I hear hee is not dead as was reported.
as for the newes wee heare nothing of great moment or Certaintie but only that Bannier is not yet retired out of Bohemia as was reported; hee is rather in posture to go towards Piccolomini; neither is it likely that Piccolomini will go to him because wee are informed that hee doth bring a great part of his forces in the upper palatinat & Franconia either to Refresh themselues there or to lye for a guard lest any of the other troopes which are in Westphalia should come to these quarters.
The meeting at Nuremberg doth proceed; nothing can bee fully knowen what they intend; only euident Coniectures are made & some circumstantiall matters knowen which giue grounds to wise men to gather that they will labour to make a peace like unto that of Passow. there bee none there but the Ambassadors of the states & their power can bee no greater then to make preparatiues for a more solemne meeting to ratifie matters. what I learne further yow shall know in due tyme. now
the Lord bee with yow I rest
