Kents powder |
 ------------Ÿ
It is thought fitt for the good and benefit of
               this nation, to give notice.
That that precious powder which is called the countess of Kents powder, is in the hands of a person of quality, and to be had at the rate of a penny a grain; the said person having for that purpose appointed the house of Mr Adams a bookseller, at the sign of the talbot, over against St. Dunstans Church in Fleetstreet; where it shall be sold, and a note of directions along with it how to take it, and the names of two of the most eminent physitians of London attesting it to be the right powder; for there are many who pretend to make this powder, but sell counterfeit, and at a much dearer rate, to the great abuse of such as have occasion to use it. It hath been long experimented by persons of highest quality, and others, with good success, in Fevers, the pestilence, small pox agues, surfetts and generally, in any malignant distempers etc.
