Mr Hartlib;
I haue heere sente you 6:l 10s for halfe a yeares[altered] diet for the schollar with you, &30:s more for the bookes, which I still wishe may not be multiplied from the stationer; one or two of the Corantoes &some of the moste especiall bookes is that which I desire; I feare I shall not be able to continue to the scholler, &therefore leaste he proue burdensome to you, I wishe, w that you wowlde (in time) dispose him some other way; I pray preuente all future dedications of bookes to me, for truly I am not lesse

to vs, thowgh (in truthe) her breaking away with out any warninge, her raylinge (in the fowleste manner), at the seruice &at her Mrs, her indeauoring to tempte the reste of the seruants to a suddaine partinge allsoe, &(as wee vnderstande synce shee is gone) her late spoylinge of good meate, out of a scorne and pride eyther of learninge to doe any thinge or that it showlde be done better by any body else; these particulars (I say) &seuerall others, are suche as (I thancke God) wee haue beene formerly acquainted with
