Taiwanese protesters display a placard
|Title:||Taiwanese protesters display a placard|
|Created:||20 December 2009|
Official Chiang portraits from the martial-law era in Taiwan were used by protestors in 2009 who were opposed to the policy of closer rapprochement between the newly elected KMT government of Ma Ying-jeou in Taipei, and Beijing. In this placard, Chiang is depicted as crying in response to Ma's supposed 'surrender' to the Communists.
