This leaflet, addressing Chinese soldiers fighting the Japanese in Shanxi, depicts a wounded Chiang and his be-furred but forlorn looking wife fleeing westward on a camel loaded down with 'personal assets'. The camel train was a standard mode of transport in this region of China in the 1940s.
