Abstract

John and Robert Greenley attempted to prove the validity of the will of Thomas Greenley, citing Lettice Bramhill as defendant. They brought witnesses who supported their claims. Bramhill claimed that the will was invalid, stating that Thomas Greenley had been afflicted with a stroke which weakened his memory and ‘mental faculties’, rendering him incapable of making a will. Bramhill brought witnesses to support this claim. In a replicatory allegation, John and Robert Greenley argued that Thomas Greenley had recovered from the effects of his stroke and was capable of making a will. The court found for John and Robert Greenley.
