Abstract

David accused Christopher of not subscribing to the articles of faith set out by Parliament, and of failing to annually read any testimonial of assent or subscription to these articles in his parish church during service time. David stated that this was by reason of Christopher’s ‘stubborne and disobedient malyce or neglygence,’ and went on to report that Christopher had been deprived of his living because of his refusal to subscribe to the articles of faith.
