Abstract

Elizabeth brought a case against Robert, the libel for which is not with these documents. Robert responded that he had married Elizabeth about four years earlier, and admitted that he had committed adultery with another woman. Witnesses stated that he had attempted to marry this woman late one night and had tried to bribe a priest to conduct the service.
