Introduction

This sourcebook presents a descriptive account, along with supporting data, of the research and development undertaken to assess machine-assisted methods in the creation of a teaching edition of The Pardoner’s Prologue & Tale from Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales.

The prototype edition was created by the C21 Editions’ UK project team at the University of Sheffield with support from the University of Glasgow. The sourcebook was written by Dr. Sophie Whittle.
